CFN Acts On Global Food Insecurity

Knowing that food insecurity would affect hundreds of millions in the third world, CFN sent President Dr. Daniel Daves & his family to Latin America to begin growing food at the root level and develop a prototype greenhouse farm and dehydration center.  This center would create superfoods for the malnourished, and teach others to do the same around the world.
Daniel commented: “We landed in Panama in 2015 after 3.5 years in Costa Rica. We secured a gorgeous piece of farmland in the sleepy community of Rovira, Potrerillos Abajo, Chiriqui, Panama.  From there, we set out to hire and train employees, help develop and restore the community, and help give vision to families to build their homes and families, grow their own foods, and develop their job skills for greater income.  The following photos show a small snapshot of the first year of construction, job creation, education, and community development.”

*A quick shout out to Erik & Wendy Selvig, who brought their three young boys to Panama for two years. They selflessly gave of themselves to help us build the farm and dehydration center with no pay. Erik provided leadership, strength, organization, team building, and employee education. This project could not have been completed without them.  We could never repay them for their great sacrifice. Only God could repay this level of commitment.  THANK YOU!

We grow foods and give them away. These cherry tomatoes are the sweetest that anyone has ever tasted (our trade secret).  We give them to local schools, and the children love them!

We work hard at community development and restoration. This was a great week of restoring and painting Rovira park. The entire community came out and helped. We didn’t have enough paintbrushes.

We grow and give. We teach others how to grow the best, organic level, heirloom foods possible.
